Program The 100 Black Men of Syracuse’s Economic Empowerment Program, which presents workshops and develops strategies to meet its goals, is based on the 100 Black Men of America’s Economic Empowerment Program.
100 Black Men of Syracuse embraces economic empowerment as an essential component toward creating a just society. We believe economic growth must be fostered for all citizens of the United States. Economic empowerment provides the opportunity for individuals and communities to create their own dreams, pursue them and ultimately perpetuate them by establishing the mechanisms to sustain generational wealth. Our stair-steps approach is used to develop initiatives that promote economic self-sufficiency through:
- Future 100
- financial literacy
- Hillrom Partnership
- entrepreneurship
- workforce development
100 Black Men of Syracuse partners with economic development organizations and government agencies to develop and provide programs and strategies that strengthen the black community’s economic base. And, we support businesses that create employment and build upon home ownership in the black community.
One such partnership is with Jubilee Homes, which is working with the 100 and the City of Syracuse to recruit candidates for CDL and Laborer II positions. If you’re interested and ready to get to work, use the link below or call (315) 428-0070 and ask for Twiggy.
