AHKEEN WILLIAMS, PHYSICAL THERAPY PROGRAM – 100 BLACK MEN OF SYRACUSE

Hello my name is Ahkeen Williams and I am 28 years old. Currently, I am a Student Physical Therapist in Upstate’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in Syracuse. I was a former mentee of the Step 1 program for the 100 black men. In addition I have participated in the John Henrike Clark study group, Junior Frontier , and Saturday Academy programs .

First off, the 100 black men of Syracuse are exemplary role models for me. There programs have enhanced my my journey in becoming a strong black man in society. They have enriched my network, and public speaking skills. And what was most pivotal for me was that, they laid a foundation of who my ancestors were. This helped me understand the pedigree of success in our black history. This reminded me where I came from, and held me accountable to be the best version of myself. I attribute much of my success to there leadership, network, and devotion. Thank you 100 Black Men of Syracuse for all you do!
