Kristin Thompson, campaign director for the Syracuse Region of the American Red Cross, will
serve as guest speaker at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27 in the second in a series of seven, free community lectures featuring health and wellness issues. The 90-minute lecture will be held in collaboration between 100 Black Men of Syracuse and Black Nurses Rock of Syracuse at the South Side Innovation Center, 2610 S. Salina St. in Syracuse. Thompson will discuss “Heart Attacks and Blood Pressure Screening.”
The free community lecture series, which will be held the fourth Monday of each month through July 24, will feature a wide range of topics, including:

Pete Headd, executive director of the Onondaga County Office for Aging, opened the series Jan. 23 with a discussion of elderly care in Onondaga County and his office’s programs and services.
